Colne Valley Park Litter Blitz Project

We are pleased to announce that we have received funding from Heathrow Community Trust to run 10 litter blitz sessions in the Colne Valley Regional Park. Following our successful partnership litter picks we ran earlier this year, we are eager to continue tackle more areas in the park that are suffering with growing litter problems...

Drip Drop, Drip Drop…..

Drip drop… drip drop… there goes water from your tap! Do you ever wonder where your water comes from and how it affects your local environment? Last week we were all talking about this at Drip Drop Summer School in four fun filled days with over 30 children at Iver Environment Centre. Together we dived deep into the topic of water awareness and conservation helping raise awareness on how your dripping tap is affecting your local river!

Free Workshops in September 2019

In 2018, The Colne Valley Regional Park  was successful in its bid for £1.6m worth of National Lottery funding. This will be augmented by a further £900k of local funding. One of the projects, called Walks Through a Changing Landscape presents a unique opportunity to apply for a place at a free workshops which we will be running in September 2019.  These workshops will give you the opportunity to be part of the Colne Valley Heritage Lottery project.

Happy cattle in Stocker’s Lake

The Dexter cattle were reintroduced to Stocker’s Lake meadows after an absence of many decades. It was a delight to see the first three being released from the corral into the meadow. Shy for a second, they were soon quickly enjoying their new-found freedom, jumping and running around in excitement. When the second batch was released, the herd reunited in the middle of the field, touching noses in greeting.
