Come and have a go at leaf printing!

Hapa Zome is the Japanese term for beating (or tapping) leaves or flowers with hammers, pounding their natural pigment into cloth. Hapa Zome is essentially just banging a mallet on some flowers or leaves to make a print pattern. It’s great fun!

You will have a go using leaves to make your own design on a cotton sheet and if you have time you can learn some knots to make a wooden stick frame. This event is suitable for all ages and will take place outdoors. All equipment and materials are provided.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the event organiser: Buckinghamshire Country Parks Team [email protected] / 01753 511060. They’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have about the session or the task!

All welcome, see below for how to book.
