There are always exciting jobs in the Colne Valley Regional Park. For us, finding the right candidate is the most important thing – our approach is genuinely flexible, and we are open to examining part-time working, secondments etc if that works best.

What Makes the Colne Valley Regional Park a Special Place to work?

At first glance the Colne can resemble an urban landscape, but look closer and you will find a unique and special place where town meets country. It’s a place where our work makes a tangible, lasting difference for wildlife and people.  From the internationally rare chalk streams of the Chilterns to the braided channels in the south of the Colne Valley Regional Park, the challenges are undeniably big – but so are the results as we restore rivers and actively encourage people to discover the wonderfully diverse countryside on their doorstep.

It is a fragile landscape on the very edge of our capital city, a miraculous survival on the edge of five counties and on the cusp of significant change. We are already working to influence that change for the good, doing all we can to prevent the area from being engulfed by London’s urban sprawl and protecting it for future generations to enjoy.

We are reminded of the potential every day as our office is in a beautiful location next to a chalk stream in a country park  (which includes two other rivers) and with plentiful outdoor meeting space for the summer!

Our recent and current work includes:

Projects in the pipeline include a multi-million pound Lakes and Rivers Habitat corridor and M25 Habitat corridor.

We are a creative, committed and enthusiastic organisation with a great track record of project development, fundraising and delivery, so there are always opportunities to grow and develop your role within our friendly team. For an informal chat about current job opportunities, please contact us.
