Come for a wander with Lydia from Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust as you guide and discover the hidden wonders of the natural world we share this place with. Meander along the River Colne, River Frays, Grand Union Canal, Frays Farm Meadows and Denham Lock Wood to name but a few…all in 2 hours!

Our route will take us through water meadows, over canals and alongside rivers brimming with wildlife. Watch darting dragonflies, listen to wetland birds singing their songs, catch a glimpse of a grass snake sliding through the water, and look for signs of one of Britain’s most rare and elusive mammals – the water vole.

Suitable for children age 7 and up

What to wear: sturdy walking shoes/boots or wellies, and clothing appropriate for the weather.

Bring water and a snack for our rest stops along the way. The walk will involve climbing over stiles and lock gates, and some uneven footpaths.

See below for how to book.
