VE Day Picnic. Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe at Southlands Arts Centre in West Drayton.
Southlands are hosting a nostalgic VE Day Picnic to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on Bank Holiday Monday, 5th May. Southlands Arts Centre is a wonderful Queen Anne Grade 2 listed building with extensive, beautiful grounds.
Important note: To get into the spirit, you are encouraged to wear red, white and blue, military dress, or 1940s style attire. Or get creative and make a headdress, crown, or celebration hat to wear on the day.
Activities include:
- Enjoy a wartime sing-along.
- Organized children’s games.
- Respectful story time featuring “The Lion and the Unicorn” and “Peace Lily.”
- Bring your own picnic, or pre-order sandwiches, cakes, and scones from their café.
