Hillingdon Council organise a regular led walk from Harefield along the Grand Union Canal past Black Jack’s Lock, which you would be very welcome to join, it starts at Harefield Green bus stop.

What they say…

This medium to fast paced walk follows 2 to 3 different routes along the Grand Union Canal, past the famous Black Jack’s Lock. It includes steep slopes and uneven ground through woodland.

From mid April to May, the bluebells are a beautiful sight.

  • Distance: 3.5 to 4 miles
  • Grade 4 walk: For people with a good level of fitness.
  • Meeting point: Harefield Green bus stop, Breakspear Road North (near the pond)
Notes for walkers
  • Walks will start promptly at the published start time.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time for registration.
  • If you are bringing a group or have additional needs, please call 01895 250453 to advise.
  • Suitable footwear should be worn for off-road walking.
  • Dogs (except guide or assistance dogs) are not allowed.
  • Walkers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
