Take a tour of Roger the historic working canal boat with Rickmansworth Waterways Trust and see for yourself what it would have been like working and living on one of these barges in the late 1800’s early 1900’s.

On Saturday 26th from 2.00 – 5.00 pm and on 27th July, from 2.30 – 4.00 pm Rickmansworth Waterways Trust are showing Roger, their historic narrowboat. Roger is one of the last working wooden narrowboats and visitors will be able to visit the traditional boatsman’s cabin and learn about the day-to-day life of a boat family. The boat is moored by Batchworth Bridge. It is free and no booking is required for this.

Discover what it was like to live on a narrowboat as a Victorian. Narrowboat ‘Roger’ will be at Batchworth Lock in Rickmansworth. Pop down there to take a tour and learn about life on the canal. No booking required.
