Colne Valley Park Circular Walks closure – affected by the HS2 works

Old Shire Lane Circular Walk – 6½ miles

Unfortunately due to High Speed 2 construction the Old Shire Lane, south of Chalfont lane, is shut for total of 8 years. There are no alternative footpaths therefore it is no longer possible to follow this circular walk.

Chalfont Park Circular Walk – 5 miles (short walk 3½ miles)

Unfortunately, due to High Speed 2 construction the Old Shire Lane, south of Chalfont lane, is shut for total of 8 years. Because of the failure by HS2 to provide an alternative footpath it is no longer possible to follow this circular walk. There are no alternative footpaths therefore it is no longer possible to follow this circular walk.

Footpath numbers that are affected are DEN/2/1, CSP/14/5, CSP/44/1

Footpath closures and diversion in Colne Valley Park, Hillingdon

  • Harvil Road – Footpath U34 is diverted along with the permissive bridleway.
  • Newyears Green Lane – Footpath U36 closed, Footpath U37 diverted. Footpath U38 diverted.
  • Breakspear Road South – Footpath U49 diverted.
  • Breakspear Road South/Ruislip Golf Course – Public Footpaths U47 and U46 diverted (on the boarder of CVRP)
