Groundwork South is currently recruiting for a part time Admin Support Assistant (covering Maternity leave) to ensure the smooth running of the Colne Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme.
- Project Administrative Assistant circa £19,000 per annum pro rata
- 15 hours per week, (Maternity cover to 31st December 2021 with possible extension)
- LOCATION: Colne Valley Park Centre, Near Uxbridge.

The Colne Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme includes 19 projects over 3 years delivered by Groundwork South and a team of partners. There is a lot of information and financial records to keep track of and this role is to cover Maternity leave and keep us on track..
The role includes:
- Financial record keeping, using Excel
- Helping to compile financial reports for funders
- Admin support for the team including organising meetings and taking minutes
- Support the team when organising events and surveys
- Creating and updating databases in compliance with GDPR regulations
The successful candidate will have a track record of working in administrative roles and be able to demonstrate competence with Excel spreadsheets.
The role will be part of the team (which will also include an Administration Officer) who are responsible for implementing the £2.5 million Colne Valley Landscape Partnership scheme, which has been secured from the Heritage Lottery Fund, other grant-funding bodies and partners. The Regional Park is the first large taste of countryside to the west of London and covers an area of 43 square miles. It comprises a mosaic of farmland, woodland, villages and water – including over 200 miles of river and canal, and more than 70 lakes.

Outline description of each of the 19 projects forming part of the Scheme
The Colne Valley Regional Park Landscape Partnership provides £1.6m of National Lottery funding and a further £900k of local funding to preserve and enhance the landscape for people and wildlife. Through this wide ranging scheme, the partnership is bringing a cherished landscape back from the brink of decline by co-ordinating conservation work, and helping connect communities with their heritage, enabling them to understand and take responsibility for it.
There are 19 projects covering conservation, improved access and community engagement. Examples of the projects included; Conservation grazing, removal of invasive species from our rivers, volunteer led monitoring of the quality of our rivers, improved signage, additional or repaired stiles and information boards to help people explore and a range of events for people to get involved with as well as social media and website enhancement.
