4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Groundwork South and the Colne Valley Regional Park, who are leading a Heritage Lottery Funded project to improve parts of Staines Moor, invite you to join them for a walk around one of Surrey’s most important conservation sites.
Join us as we look for interesting bird life at a great time of year for bird watching. As Autumn gets into full swing we will be looking out for migrating birds which can sometimes throw up the odd surprise! Other wildlife we may encounter if we’re lucky include Roe Deer, butterflies, dragonflies, and towards the end of the walk when light levels start to drop we may also see bats.
On the walk you will learn about the Colne Valley Regional Park and we will explain a bit about our project and how we are hoping it will benefit Staines Moor and its wildlife.
The meeting point will be opposite number 129 Hithermoor Road, TW196AU and limited parking is available on the residential road. We hope to see you at 4pm on the 17th of October for a walk before it gets dark.
Limited spaces available, register via Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/staines-moor-nature-walk-tickets-74257362771
