Our rivers host and support a wide diversity of species from those that live in the water like mayflys to those that hunt along the rivers such as otters and kingfishers. Here in the Colne Valley Regional Park we are lucky to have a numerous watercourses to enjoy and also a diversity of mammal species including otters and the endangered water vole. Join us today to learn more about these wonderful creatures.

As part of the Landscape Partnership scheme we can offer a free workshop exploring which riverine mammals species you can find in the Colne Valley, identification techniques and how to spot signs of them while you are out walking down the river corridors. This will be delivered by Hertfordshire and Middlesex Wildlife Trust with a morning theory zoom session followed by a practical site visit in the afternoon to hunt for signs of river mammals along the river corridor.

* This free workshop is only available for registered volunteers with Groundwork South and Colne Valley Regional Park.

Not a volunteer and interested in  joining our team? Sign up here or send us an email on [email protected]
