Rivers have shaped our communities, way of life and industries throughout history. However, humans have also impacted and altered river to fit our demands despite negative ecological effects. Today human actions continue to affect rivers and other watercourses in numerous ways, both seen and unseen but there is hope with simple to complex solutions to restore and enhance our rivers. Join us today for the final workshop of 2021 to summarise the river work this year and look to solutions for a positive future.

As part of the Landscape Partnership scheme we can offer a free workshop covering the different threats rivers experience across the UK and their solutions. This will be delivered by Wild Trout Trust with a morning theory zoom session followed by a practical site visit in the afternoon to explore the restoration techniques completed along the River Misbourne.

* This free workshop is only available for registered volunteers with Groundwork South and Colne Valley Regional Park.

Not a volunteer and interested in  joining our team? Sign up here or contact us.
