Bridge over River Colne
We need your help to remove Floating Pennywort a non native invasive species threatening our local rivers. Unlike our native Marsh Pennywort, Floating Pennywort is invasive and can rapidly grow up 20cm per day forming dense mats of vegetation completely covering the river creating a number of problems including crowding out native plants, reducing oxygen and light levels. For further information on Floating Pennywort see here: https://www.colnevalleypark.org.uk/invasive-species-in-colne-valley-regional-park/
Join us for a free fun session removing this plant from the River Colne flowing through
