Dragonflies and damselflies are ancient creatures which have been around for eons! Here in the UK there are 42 native species of dragonflies and damselflies which have specialised to a variety of habitats creating a widespread and diverse community, but can you identify them? Join us on Sunday to put your ID skills to the test with an expert surveyor David Courtneidge from the South East Rivers Trust to see which species you can spot.

If you have binoculars and a ID book please bring them with you, if you don’t have any we will have spare available.

This survey will be running over lunch thus please bring your own lunch and refreshments.

As part of the Landscape Partnership scheme we can offer a free survey to enhance your identification techniques and practical spotting them at little Britain lake. This will be delivered by South East Rivers Trust.

Please register in advance see booking details below.

If you have any questions please contact Chloe at [email protected]
