Canal Activities

The Grand Union Canal offers opportunities for leisure cruising, boat trips and walking in the Colne Valley Park. For two centuries it has been the busiest and most important inland waterway in England, and today there are more pleasure boats on the Grand Union Canal than any other. Walkers will quickly discover the fascinating kaleidoscope of colourful boats, historic buildings, rich wildlife, old fashioned engineering and timeless tranquility.
