Northmoor Hill Wood is situated off Tilehouse Lane, Denham. The wood has a good network of pathways and several interesting geological features such as swallow holes. The varied woodland populated with mixed oak and beech trees, and in the wet areas alder, provides habitats for a large variety of birds who seem to be able to ignore their mechanical cousins from the neighbouring airfield. The wood is most interesting in Spring and Autumn. Facilities include car parking and a picnic area.
