Cycling is an excellent way to explore the Colne Valley and there are several routes to choose from.
The Colne Valley Trail is a 7 mile country route linking Uxbridge with Rickmansworth running through some of the most attractive scenery in the Colne Valley with excellent views of the rivers, lakes and the Grand Union Canal. The route is shared by cyclists, walkers and horse riders and is an ideal way to reach a number of Country Parks.
Cyclists can also use bridleways (although they must give way to pedestrians and horse riders). There is a good network throughout the Valley and are marked with blue arrows. However, many of these routes do not have a hard surface and may be muddy following heavy rainfall. (Please note: cycling is NOT permitted on public footpaths marked with a yellow arrow).
