Circular Walks in the Colne Valley Park

There are a number of circular walks that you can enjoy to explore the Colne Valley Park.  Walk leaflets are available from the Colne Valley Park Visitor Centre for 25p.  They provide a useful guide to the countryside with detailed maps and easy to follow descriptions.

birdwatchingThe following leaflets are available:

1. Denham (Nine Stiles) *

2. Iver

3. Wraysbury

4. Rickmansworth Lakes
(currently out-of-print)

5. Staines Moor **

6. Old Shire Lane

7. Chalfont Park

8. Grand Union Canal

*The download for Denham (Nine Stiles) has been temporarily removed from this site as there is a problem with the route, which means that it is blocked. This is being sorted out by Bucks County Council. We are grateful to the member of public who brought this to our attention.

**The Swan Pub at point 7 is now closed. Network Rail had closed the railway crossing between points 6 and 7. There is a detour to be made by turning right after crossing the Wraysbury River then turning left onto Moor Lane. The leaflet states that "There is a free car park at the start of the walk in Lammas Park". Sadly this car park is no longer free, in fact the charges vary from 50p for up to 1 hour, to as much as £7 for over 4 hours, so please ensure you have some change for the machine.
