
A large Country Park of 90 acres set in an attractive wooded part of Harefield being part of Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve. Bayhurst Wood was once a part of the Great Forest of Middlesex, and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Principal trees include common oak, sessile oak, hornbeam, common beech, aspen, and sweet chestnut. The wood is a paradise for walking and riding and picnics. Car parking is off Breakspear Road North, Harefield. There are three ponds within the wood and the Hillingdon Trail passes through.
